About Nelson's Journey

We offer a range of services to bereaved children and their families including: thorough assessment of a child’s bereavement needs, advice and information service available to families at and around the time of death, 1:1 therapeutic support and therapeutic weekends for those aged 6-13yrs and 14-17yrs. The weekends provide children with an opportunity to meet others who have been bereaved, share their experiences and remember the person who has died.

It is currently estimated that 1 in 29 school aged children have experienced the death of a parent or sibling. This equates to nearly 4,000 of Norfolk’s children.
